Product Details

Cut2Size offers two popular forms of aluminum channel, each with its distinct features:

The aluminum channel in alloy 6061-T6 is known as American Standard or Structural Aluminum “C” channel. It is an extruded aluminum product with tapered legs (the thickness of the legs varies), so the inside dimension between the legs gets smaller as you approach the bottom of the channel. It is typically intended for structural applications where strength is required.

The aluminum channel in alloy 6063-T52 is known as Aluminum Association or Architectural Aluminum Trim channel. It is an extruded aluminum product with straight legs. It has sharp, square corners on the inside and outside. This item is ideal for many trim applications, frame work, bracing, brackets, trailers, and more.

Both alloys are extruded from 6000 series aluminum. This series of aluminum yields a harder material with good strength. To measure a channel, take the width of the channels, the height of its flange (legs), and its web (thickness of the material between the two flanges). Cut2Size Metals will pack your aluminum channel safely in our tailored, high-quality packaging with same-day shipping on most orders. Order full-length channel or custom-cut lengths today.

  • Standard sizes & custom cuts: Stock channel is 16 or 25 ft. and can be custom cut to any length.
  • Custom-cut tolerance: +/- 1/16". If you need a tighter tolerance, call us!
  • Volume discounts: Unit prices drop on most custom-cut products when you increase the quantities.

Cut2Size Metals provides general properties and typical uses for the alloys we carry, however, the suitability of a material for any application or the manner of its use is the sole responsibility of the customer. If you have specific requirements for your application, we strongly suggest contacting us before purchasing.
