Product Details

Aluminum diamond plate (aka “aluminum tread plate”, “aluminum floor plate”, or “aluminum checker plate"), is available in 6061-T6 and 3003-H14 alloys. Aluminum diamond plate is commonly seen on fire trucks and truck toolboxes. The raised diamond pattern provides a skid-resistant surface, making it ideal for walkways, and toolboxes.

Please Note: Although diamond plate has a raised pattern, it is NOT a grip surface and will become very slick if wet or snow-covered. Additionally, it is worth noting that long-term exposure to outside elements without painting or applying a clear coat finish will result in the material oxidizing (developing a white chalky surface).

The 3003-H14 aluminum diamond plate arrives from the mill with a shiny bright finish; it is often reffered to as"'Tread Bright". The 3003 alloy is softer and more formable, making it more difficult to machine and vulnerable to scratches. The 3003 diamond plate is a popular choice for environments that require good corrosion resistance and weldability. It is often used in applications where a lightweight, yet sturdy material is needed.

The 6061-T6 aluminum diamond plate can arrive from the mill with either a dull or shiny finish. The 6061-T6 alloy is known for its increased strength and durability. This makes the 6061 diamond plate suitable for more demanding applications, such as industrial settings, flooring in commercial vehicles, and architectural uses where strength is a key requirement.

Both the 3003 and 6061-T6 aluminum diamond plates are available in various thicknesses and can be custom-cut to size. At Cut2Size Metals, discover tread plate available in both standard and custom-cut sizes, tailored to your project requirements.
