Product Details

Cut2Size Metals offers stainless steel plates in type 304 and type 316/316L, the two most used stainless steel grades, respectively. Because of the metal's corrosion resistance and anti-bacterial qualities, they are among the most popular choices with our customers. Cut2Size Metals offers stock plates in alloys 304 and 316 with custom-cutting services and same-day shipping on qualifying orders.

Note: The typical distinction between plate and sheet is that plate is 1/4 inch or thicker. However, Cut2Size Metals offers both 3/16-inch plate and 7-gauge (3/16 inch) sheet. The plate will have a rougher surface and the sheet will have a smooth surface. Visit our stainless steel sheet page.

  • Standard sizes & custom cuts: Standard plate sizes are 48” x 96” or 48" x 120" depending on thickness, alloy, and finish. All can be cut to size.
  • Custom-cut tolerances: +/- 1/16". If you need a tighter tolerance, call us!
  • What is a Mill Finish? Plates come to us exactly as they are finished at the mill. All materials have a matte or dull finish with possible scuffs and scratches on the surface.
  • Volume discounts: Unit prices drop on most custom-cut products when you increase the quantities.
  • Need thinner metal? Shop stainless steel sheet >

Cut2Size Metals provides general properties and typical uses for the alloys we carry, however, the suitability of a material for any application or the manner of its use is the sole responsibility of the customer.
